Eastern Passage: Meet at A&M Sea Charters, 87 Government Wharf Rd, Fisherman's Cove. Be at the wharf 15 minutes before departure, so 9:15 for the 9:30 departure or 10:15 for the 10:30 departure.
Join the Friends of McNabs Island for a guided Heritage Tour! Learn about the important role the island played throughout our history from being a Mi'kmaq First Nations encampment - to a French fishing station and then to a military fortification to protect the Port of Halifax.
Dress for the weather and island environment. Wear sturdy sneakers or hiking boots. Bring sunscreen, sunhats, insect repellent, plenty of drinking water, and a lunch. Dogs are permitted, but they must be on leash at all times.
Space is limited to 27 people; everyone must get their tickets in advance! Tickets are also needed for babies and toddlers under 2, who will travel for FREE courtesy of the Friends of McNabs Island.
$17 for members of the Friends of McNabs Island and for children ages 2 to 16; $25 for non-members. Ticket prices include Eventbrite fees but not PayPal fees.
Note: there are NO refunds and NO rain date. In the event of heavy rain or gale force wind storms that keep the boat in port, the event will be cancelled and tickets refunded.
