To ensure the islands' intrinsic values are protected for the benefit of present and future generations, the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources and the McNabs and Lawlor Islands Provincial Park Advisory Committee have a management plan that defines a vision and philosophy that will guide future management decisions the park. This plan was approved by the Minister of Natural Resources in 2005.
